She is extremely talented and more lovely than any words can ever be put down on paper and she has wonderfully surprised me with the very stunning and unique artful creation of an Irish Wolfhound, inspired by our Bunker Dude. She is calling it ‘Art For A Cause’.

The Wolfhound Cù Sìth

10% of sales of her products will come to BHRR!

*You can purchase t-shirts, mugs, mousepads, totes, greeting cards and SO much more! She will be adding products regularly.

The Wolfhound Cù Sìth

I think all is forgiven now!

Back on his favourite folded thick duvet, in his favourite spot by my computer, and humbling me with that adorable, precious look on his face!

All is right in his world…mine too!

Almost 15 years old and going strong!

Someone is NOT happy!

BHRR’s James – who turns 15 years young next month was not impressed with me asking him to go outside in the rain.

His facial expression and body position are one of a very unhappy camper!!

He will not even look at me now & has taken to lying under the bench in the sunroom far away from me.

He usually has zero issues going out in the rain….his issues arise when it is NOT his idea or choice!

In offering him a treat, but he would not accept it until I put it down….

You are a character Mr. James!

AND GSPs hang out together too!

Our 2.5+-year-old GSP Tango with Mr. James.

Mr. James is trying to stay awake!  He is literally nodding off & my pic is a bit dark as I turned almost all the lights off so he could doze….

Mr. James(14+ year old GSP) wants to check in to say that he is doing well!

He is supervising me while I work on school tonight.

He is such an amazing boy!

BHRR’s James(GSP) was at the Vet today. I made the drive to pick him up on June 17th to bring him into the rescue.

He is our newest addition to BHRR, and he is not 13, he is closer to 15 years of age. In 2011, the shelter that had him stated his age as being over age 3.

He is the dog whose owners were moving abroad.

He weighed a thin 23.1 kgs (50.82 pounds).

We did bloodwork and tested for prior tickborne disease plus heartworm exposure. Results were negative.

He is going to be dewormed and placed on flea/tick/hw preventative.

We also investigated a lump he has on his chest. I was a bit concerned when I noted it upon picking him up, as I want to be sure he receives all of the necessary care and immediately.

He is not going to be placed up for adoption.

He is going to be placed in our Haven program and cherished for whatever time he has left. We are going to ensure it is a time of quality and that he lacks for nothing…..

They are moving out of the country in June, and do not want to ship him as cargo.

We are awaiting the owner’s surrender form to begin making arrangements to bring him to the rescue.

Thank you again Melanie & Connor for stepping up to emerge temp foster. Fostering saves lives! We cannot do r/q rescue alone. We need those strong links on our BHRR CHAIN OF SUCCESS.

We will update as we know more, and once we have him, we will post re: needs.

Hopefully, soon you handsome boy!

This is James, a 13-year-old neutered German Shorthaired Pointer

His owners are moving and do not wish to fly him as cargo and therefore wish to surrender him.

What we also know: Unknown with cats, good with people including kids, housebroken, no resource issues, not destructive, does not bark, good in the car, said to be sweet, obedient, has leash manners, happy and healthy.

Dog parks are not recommended as he is a senior and leash introductions are best-done off-leash as also being a senior, not ideal.
