HERE is the album on FB that I have been creating for BHRR's Concert and her incredible life of adventures and dreams fulfilled!

With how much I have on my plate these days, it is going to be very hard for me to post a blog here and posts/updates there, so I shall keep the link to her photo album current on her blog for people to virtually be a part of her living LIFE to the fullest!

This is BHRR's Concert's 11th journal entry of her my wish for her 'warmth and love from caring people', a celebration of the life that she is going to be living for as long as we can give it to her in quality!

On Friday October 5th, BHRR's Concert came to do a Home Visit with an approved BHRR Volunteer. Below are some photos taken during that home visit.

This home was AMAZING! Even made her a Birthday Cake AKA Celebration of her Life Cake! I shared with the home that BHRR's Concert's time was drawing ever nearer and it made the night, one of smiles and some tears.

I let them know that I had scheduled to let BHRR's Concert go the next day. The Cancer had spread to her brain and spine.

On Thursday October 4th, 2012 BHRR's Concert had a spectacular Day! 🙂 We started off at WAG on Bank and moved to the park, 25 degrees in the sun!
We had an incredible afternoon of hugs, pounces, leaf romping, running and trotting plus kid loving AND that was just BHRR's Concert! 🙂

I had really wanted Gloria to see and visit with her one more time. I wanted to be face-to-face with Gloria to let her know that I had scheduled BHRR's Concert to be crossed over on the Saturday and I wanted to give them an afternoon – WISH I could have given them weeks – of enjoyment of each other's company.

For without Gloria, this beautiful creature never would have crossed my life………..and heart and then shared with a world! She was so loved from near and afar and we traveled over 4,500 KMs in the time we had been together.

BHRR's Concert spent every day of sunshine outside basking in the love of the sun and those that loved her…that is where she felt the most incredibly alive and it really make her sparkle! Gloria was able to see that she just did not come alive in the same way when inside and so, I was so thrilled to see such a glorious day dawn for all of us to enjoy. It was threatening rain for a bit and I am so happy that it passed!

AND ever since she was first rescued, I and all the others that adore her and are inspired by her, tell her how gorgeous she is ALL the time!!

Gloria & BHRR's Concert – BHRR's Concert is wearing her very special CBC collar donated to her – WAG on Bank Street

BHRR's Concert with Gloria at the Park across from Billings Bridge – Sean & I had our engagement photos done here!

She was so determined to visit with two kids and she made me boot after her to get her BUT she won in the end as the grandparents brought the two kids over and they sat and petted her. She would have made an AMAZING Therapy Dog for she provide much therapy to so many during her miraculous 42 days with us!

On Sunday September 16th, 2012

My Daughter, BHRR's Concert, Bunker(my IW) and myself headed to Lachine, Quebec to meet up with two very inspirational women to have a picnic and afternoon in the sun by the lake! What a marvellous day!

COULD not have asked for better weather!

She had such a spectacular day! She showed of her trotting, prancing and even did a pounce! LOL

Thanks ladies for a lovely day and for giving BHRR's Concert another great adventure FULL of LIFE experience filled with love and caring touches!

BHRR's Concert was not too happy to see all these people go by and NOT pet her! I think we have created quite the social diva! YAY! 🙂 Several photos have been added to her slideshow and a few are below.

On Wednesday September 26th, 2012

BHRR's Concert has a new favourite past time now….when I pick up all the dog toys, she takes them all out of the rubber-maids and places them in very specific places.

She likes to place the KONG toys in one spot – walk in shower, all the rope toys in another – brick deck, bury all the stuffies under blankets and dino bones are placed under the pillows on the double bed downstairs! I mean, just

in case she may want a midnight chomp with all four feet in the air while Sean is trying to sleep! LOL

Then, when she is done, she lays down and looks most satisfied with herself.

AND she will do it over and over again for obviously, 'I' am not picking up on HOW things should be :)- ….she has a different sort of organizational scheme of things in our home than I do clearly! LOL

So, for all those that came over Saturday, they should not be surprised to maybe find some things perhaps where they should not be! 😉

On September 20th, 2012:

BHRR's Concert is having a great day….me, not so much after her antics!! LOL I left for not even ten minutes to put Kinsley on the bus to come home to find her not all cozied up on the double bed snoozing in the rec room where I left her not ten minutes but outside in the fenced in yard digging a hole that would make any construction company darn proud!

One could lay a foundation to a small ho

me with what she so happily was doing!! So, the wee minx decided to come upstairs, open the front door and have some fun!

Now, she is standing beside me, tailing wagging, face coated in dirt and seeking her breakfast. Evidence is all over her face and all my good doggies are inside with looks of 'it was not me!!'

Me? I get to spend the next couple of hours filling in her trench! I know I said she was to have all of these great adventures yet…..well…. :)-

Love ya BHRR's Concert! No doubt that tumour or not, she is still going strong!

On Monday September 24th, 2012, BHRR's Concert had the following announcement to make!

BHRR's Concert would like to make another very special announcement. Today, is DAY 30 of her LIFE!!!

She is not only surviving; but thriving really well. The Cancer is beginning to slow her down a bit more this week over the past yet; she is eating and drinking and pouncing and trotting and yes, still very happily out there trying to dig more foundations for small houses and even some palaces!! 😀

I know that her time remains very limited and just yesterday, she and I crossed over the 4,000 km mark in our travels of her having all her dreams of LIFE fulfilled in adventures and caring warmth from ALL of you!!

We take it one day at a time now and I do not plan for more than 'tomorrow' and live each day as the best I can give her!!!

You are sheer awesomeness BHRR's Concert!! A true gift.

B&F Kanata invited BHRR to a community education & public awareness event at their locale on Saturday September 15th, 2012. She woke up that AM ready to go and I was armed with all her goodes.

With the cost of her Tramadol and Deramaxx, her Vet bills keep increasing BUT the way that I look at it, I AM so happy that she is here and can do that! 🙂 THANK you everyone again from my heart for ALL that you are doing to assist me in giving her the best LIFE possible! I remain so touched by the support for her. She is just a treasure!

Helping to do a homevisit and then hanging out with the Cousineau's household with yummies! WHO better to come do a hv and represent the GD breed plus be an ambassador for BHRR!

She even met some of the turtles! Three of them and was so mindful, respectful and cautious with them! THIS dog is great with everyone and everything! 🙂

UPDATE: September 9th, 2012 – BHRR's Riley(AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!) & BHRR's Concert:

Today was suppose to be cottage day at a friends place yet; with the hail and severe thunderstorms last night; all the progress we made back to happy and comfortable(from last Tuesday rain and icky weather) including as posted recently – zooming!! – went downhill.

AND despite the sunshine that dawned bright and cherry today; BHRR's Concert was just not up to headed out. So, she rested, soaked up all the BHRR love and as the day passed her spirits picked up and she was then up to visiting with Holly & Bruce tonight.

She had a nice visit; loved going up with great enthusiasm ( much to my own dismay) their stairs both inside and outside!! 🙂 So, she zipped up them and went down them and zipped up and went down.

She quickly found a very BIG (figuratively and literally) male admirer at their home, to the point that I sincerely thought he would pout for days when she did not exactly feel the same about his charm and flirtaticious nature!! LOL BHRR's Riley(AVAILABLE for adoption btw!) LOVED her, no…..actually he ADORED her!

Shared her bed, brought her toys, nudged and kissed her, play bowed, danced and pranced around her and in the end, he realised that it was love not returned and settled for laying on her bed with her! LOL Where she went, he wanted to go!! LOL

Thank you Holly and Bruce for the few hours, lovely conversation, caring hands and soothing aura of your home – amidst the clown BHRR's Riley!

He was even so kind as to bring me my shoes!!

We had a a pit stop at a Wendy's for BHRR's Concert to have some chicken and then made the 40 minute remainder drive home!

BHRR's Concert's foot September 9th, 2012 & BHRR's Riley(AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION) with BHRR's Concert on September 9th, 2012

This is BHRR's Concert's fifth journal entry of her my wish for her 'warmth and love from caring people', a celebration of the life that she is going to be living for as long as we can give it to her in quality!

UPDATE September 4th, 2012:

BHRR's Concert had a lovely start to her day and ate well for me, was happy and loved her tug rope and was really perky; yet; as the weather became more poor; so did her demeanor. 🙁 She basically then ate virtually nothing nor wanted to drink for me until it was bedtime and then only with much coaxing did she eat her meds with a homemade cinnamon bun – THANKS to Sean.

She is now not eating the fish and is on to chicken and whatever she wants, she shall have!

We upped her pain meds today as this damp and rainy weather did not suit her very well and she seemed a bit unsure of her footing outside on the wet grass and sand……

She was suppose to have a quiet park date tomorrow in Manotick with Andrea yet; we shall see how her morning goes.

The weather looks good yet; this afternoon as the weather really went downhill, so did she…….

So, if need be, we shall just have more quiet time at BHRR with her two and four legged family and her next outing of LIFE/LOVE is scheduled for this Sunday up at a friends cottage.

I am truly amazed by how poorly she did once the weather turned. 🙁 She was so sad and could not settle to get quite comfortable.

She is now happily snoring with Sean after her cinnamon bun though! THUMBS up! 🙂

UPDATE: September 5th, 2012:

She ate well for me this AM, yet; no water and we shall see how she feels with all this glorious sunshine coming out!

I have cancelled her quiet park date and she is going to hang with me and the four legged crew at BHRR all day…

What a treat for me!! 🙂

The CRAZY BEAUTIFUL COLLAR donated to her

HERE is the album on FB that I have been creating for BHRR's Concert and her incredible life of adventures and dreams fulfilled!

With how much I have on my plate these days, it is going to be very hard for me to post a blog here and posts/updates there, so I shall keep the link to her photo album current on her blog for people to virtually be a part of her living LIFE to the fullest!

This is BHRR's Concert's fourth journal entry of her my wish for her 'warmth and love from caring people', a celebration of the life that she is going to be living for as long as we can give it to her in quality!

BHRR's Sunday September 2nd, was full of relaxation, laying upon her back, four feet in the air chomping on one of her most fav things ever! A bone given to her by Maggie Bird and Derek Bird! She had lots of love, snuggles and cuddles with the BHRR family and really enjoyed resting on her bed on the lawn watching the young 'uns playing! She then had a lovely night chomping on her bone, four feet in the air while Sean tried to sleep…god, I love that man!!! What he does to support what I work so hard to do for the BHRR animals is nothing short of outstanding! 🙂

On Monday September 3rd, BHRR's Concert had a great restful AM and by the time I was getting ready to go, she was at that gate letting me know that SHE was coming…did not matter where, she was coming! 🙂 She was so happy and raring to go!

I posted 15 photos of her day in her BHRR FB Album. 🙂

FIRST STOP:

The Ottawa United Rescue Potluck! We stayed for just over 1.5 hours and she could have well stayed longer yet; we had another charming engagement to attend and as it as, ended up being about 15 minutes late(SORRY again Brenda!). Kim Dick did a fantastic job pulling this event together and BHRR's Concert and I had a blast! AN absolute blast! It is a good thing that in the past week, Maggie & I worked on that camera avoidance for she had PUP-ARAZZI all over her! 😉 She was given personal items of enjoyment and pleasure(fish, treats, collar x 2 and a leash etc.) and THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! To all that donated to her body comforts and delights!

She was hugged and loved and there was no worry when I stepped away to get a plate of food for my daughter, that she was going to be missing a thing! She wanted to come with me, many commented again on how bonded she was YET, she was content to stay with others as long as I was in her sight and this was a HUGE HUGE HUGE step! Even up to days ago, she would pull people to get close to me….so, she is relaxing even more, enjoying life and people even more and trusting more and feeling so much more comfortable! EXACTLY what I want for her! She is just loving LIFE! Having fun, making many friends, having adventures and stealing her share of hearts in the process! 😉 AND as long as I am around, I do not have to be right there…..this was so beautiful to witness…like a flower blossoming under all this amazing positive karma! 🙂

I am still being sent photos of her with many people that took a few minutes out of their day to visit with her! THANK YOU to all sending me these photos as Maggie is helping me work on a very special project…..

I LOVED that other than a few 'had to happen' welling up of tears here and there, we were all just soaking up the gift of BHRR's Concert and just loving that she was having a blast!

Thank you to ALL that helped me get her and her stuff to and from the vehicle! I am so grateful to Maggie, Derek, Gloria, Suzanne, Kinsley, Anna and Laurie for those extra hands!

One of her gifts was my melting point…a collar/leash donated by Tracy & Jenn that people could write best wishes, notes, blessings and supportive words of encouragement to BHRR's Concert on……

SECOND Stop:

We had to leave and it was so hard to leave…I was still visiting dear friends and meeting new ones…as was BHRR's Concert…yet; off we went to our second locale….

This was a gift given to us by a lovely woman, Krysta to capture BHRR's Concert's life to the fullest and that she shall live forever through this gift…she arranged and paid for a photo session with a dear woman named Brenda and we are going to be the recipients of 2 x 5×7 photos! We also have the option to purchase more at a discount.

We were there for about 1.5 hours and BHRR's Concert just SHINED! She was feeling good and happy and living in the moment! She let us know when she was done and just turned her back! LOL As I keep saying, she is one of those dogs that for being so quiet, she sure talks LOUD when she has something to say! 😉

Cannot wait to view the photos! I had invited dear Gloria to attend with us, yet, I understand why not and I hope that she can come view the slideshow when it is ready. I also hope that Gloria will come on a picnic with BHRR's Concert and I for to see these two gems together is very heart touching.

THIRD Stop:

As BHRR's Concert was going strong and you could tell that she was not ready to call it quits, she was peppy and happy and trotting…..we went for a just over hour visit with her Auntie Caren! Caren lives near a lovely quiet park and we put her doggie bed down and plunked our butts on the ground for a good time! 🙂

Auntie Caren gave her a very yummy treat that she just gobbled up and also some BHRR's Journey Heart Biscuits and a stuffie…OMG! She just loved her goodies of pleasure and Caren has an aura of calmness and shining warm that just makes everyone around her just relax and soak it all up. I found myself just taking some deep breaths and letting go……I KNEW that BHRR's Concert would love Caren and she did!

At just past the hour and fifteen minute mark, BHRR's Concert stood up and faced the car and was ready to go home!

So, that is what we did and she ate a lovely supper, took her pain meds and is now snoring(shhhhh! Do not tell her that she snores) with Sean(he already knows he snores!) with Sean all snuggled up on the double bed in the rec room…..

What a SUPER day again for her…AND me!

Have I told each of you today, JUST how much I appreciate you and what you are doing for her????

Tomorrow is rest day…..and Wednesday is a quiet visit in a park in Manotick with Andrea. 🙂

Then she is resting to Sunday…..As her time is going to be drawing closer, I want her resting and relaxing as much as she needs. She may not feel she needs it as much as I do….but, she has friends and loved ones at home that also want and need time with her……BHRR's Maggie May and Guinness and Bunker Dude really love her……

AND that is her latest update! 🙂

BHRR's Concert – enjoying a very special gift basket and cuddling with Sean
*First three photos courtesy of M. Bird

September, 2012 – This is BHRR's Concert's third journal entry of her my wish for her 'warmth and love from caring people', a celebration of the life that she is going to be living for as long as we can give it to her in quality!

UPDATE: BHRR's Concert had a simply heavenly day on Saturday September 1st –

*She started off her day with visits at KAH from Krysta and her dear hubby (I microchipped a couple of their dogs today and for the kindness they have showed to BHRR, I donated several microchips to their Rescue). They donated some really yummy fish for BHRR's Concert! Thanks for the visit, as short as it was AND I cannot wait to unveil the very special memorable gift you have bestowed upon BHRR's Concert! 😉 THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

*BHRR's Concert then had a very sweet lovely surprise visit from BHRR Volunteers Lesley and Martin at KAH and they made BHRR's Concert feel very relaxed and safe. She had a lovely wee visit with them and THANK you for the time you gave to her today and for the yummy treatie for her!

*BHRR's Concert then had visits from Lynn & Al, Maggie Bird & Derek Bird and was once again surrounded by positive energy and wonderful karma and THANK you to each home for all the personal items of comfort and joy for her to relish and savour! The chicken was a HUGE hit!

*BHRR's Concert then went over to have a visit with Auntie Sarah and her sweet crew of Ali, DD, Paris and Abby. Auntie Sarah gave her some very special homecooked salmon and even handfed it to her! 🙂

**Thank you to Maggie and Derek Bird in hanging out with us again today and for the photos and assistance to help me capture BHRR's Concert 'LIVING LIFE**

BHRR's Concert came home so relaxed and happy and content. I know that her dreams tonight shall be filled with the best ones EVER! Deeply, from my heart; I truly reach out with my heart to thank everyone for helping me fulfill this wish of mine for her! The sad news is that the Cancer has begun to diminish her lung capacity and our time is ever precious with her…..AND that tumour is now bigger…..BUT her tail was all wags and she pranced and danced and explored and did some trotting to show everyone that she is thriving and not ready yet to leave us……

Sunday, she rested and hung out with her friends at BHRR…….it is very important for me to make sure that she rests and eats and drinks and does not overdue things…..AND she is showing me that she is having so much quality of life!!! LOVE HER! LOVE LOVE LOVE this dog! A dream/gift to those that touch her and those that she shall touch.

September 1st, 2012 – growing. 🙁

I cannot change her past(as much I would like to) nor what shall happen all too soon in her future BUT I can sure give her; with the amazing folks that are helping me; the best life can offer as her present!

AND I honestly would like to believe that many out there would do the same for their dying loved ones. AND with the way that the community has stepped up to assist in helping me have her live the life she is living right now; I really believe that…..so much good out there….there really is. The community is making dreams come true for her! She has learned about soft dog beds and that touches do not mean pain and having to flinch away and that at night, I will go outside with her if that is what it takes for her to pee and not feel like she is abandoned. That she can trust and relax(AND she is so much more relaxed now than she was) and people are surrounding her to take care of her and see that she is not doing without and has every possible comfort. I am deeply humbled and touched and in awe of the sheer warmth of everyone out there!!! 🙂

August 30th, 2012 – This is BHRR's Concert's second journal entry of her my wish for her 'warmth and love from caring people', a celebration of the life that she is going to be living for as long as we can give it to her in quality!

*This photo(thanks to M. Bird) really shows the comparison between her feet

She only has a few weeks left and unfortunately, as much as Dr. Liston wished he could have reduced the size of the tumour to give her more time; it is just not possible. It is so large and growing aggressively and even attempting to try and remove part(she would also need to lose at least two toes and that was the same thing we faced last Saturday that with her size – even as a small female at 101 pounds today; the weight bearing and balance would not be possible) would only have the tumour coming back and fast within a couple of weeks and she would have also lost valuable quality time in the process as she would be healing and need to be kept quiet. She would be missing out on life…..

Dr. Liston had hoped to even maybe do a skin graft after removing part of the turmour(the largest part) yet the one part of the tumour is already growing up her leg and has worked its way through the second toe and is into the third toe.

As was discussed last Saturday with her Vet at KAH, a leg amputation would be the 'best' option *IF* the Cancer was not already in her lungs and per Dr. Liston; if the Cancer is being this aggressive on her foot; you can guarantee that it is doing the same in her lungs and she already now has one cancer lump on her one side visible.

Dr. Liston supports that as this Cancer(fribrosarcoma) is fast growing, that we should just 'take her home and love her' and give her as much 'life' as we can. He encourages us to celebrate her life and show her love and felt truly disappointed that he could not do more for her.

He said that if this was his dog, he would just let her live the life she has left and enjoy it.

AND being the exceptional being he is, he did not charge for any of the consults I have had with him this week nor today's exams.

He is amazing!

Thank you to Margaret & Maggie for coming with me and Gloria, I so wished you could have been there and I am glad that we had the conversation we had tonight.
AND when it is her time, as I posted before and promised to Gloria again, Gloria is going to come with me and we are going to hold her tight in our loving arms and kiss her and whisper in her ears how much she is cherished.

Here are two videos of her night:

August 30th, 2012 – Outside of Liston Animal Hospital – just relaxing and being loved on after her appointment
*Photos courtesy of M. Bird

*She is wearing two VERY special collars worn by other amazing dogs to give her lots of positive vibes and great karma energy.

This is BHRR's Concert's first journal entry of her my wish for her 'warmth and love from caring people', a celebration of the life that she is going to be living for as long as we can give it to her in quality!

We started off on our adventure with a stop by Timmie's, the same one that I used to bring BHRR's Atlas too! THEY were totally enamored with her! Who wouldn't be!! She was given her own plain donut and a partial BLT – sans the tomato and lots of bacon!

I told BHRR's Concert that I would carry her with my car and arms if need be to ensure that she did not walk any further than she had too and I would put on as many kms in my car as I could to cover as much distance I could to give her as much time of being able to have life and adventures and experiences and enjoyment!

She had a lovely visit tonight at the Bird's nest(THANK YOU!) as did I on Thursday night. We were there for a few hours and she was a bit worried at first for she is deeply already bonded to me(something said to me as well by the Bird's nest) and thought I may be leaving her. The longer we were there, the better and more relaxed she got. She was initially worried about a hat that one of the Bird's was wearing and definitely is not comfortable when it gets dark but better and better and she began to ask for love and that melted my heart.

She stopped worrying about rejection and trusted. A dog that one or more people treated with such disrespect and disregard for life, gave her trust out to others. What a gift!

She drank lots, had some chicken and Fromm snack and other treats and snoozed and was cuddled and had lots of photos taken and two videos taken and was loved and surrounded by warmth and kindness(this home leant her a very special collar and we just know that it shall bring her lots of positive energy!) and is also her early special Santa home and I promised BHRR's Concert that I will fill up her days and nights as I can and as she is able with such amazing experiences and enjoyment as Thursday night was.

It was a very special time for me. BHRR's Concert has given me a gift and I know that for each person that touches her and is touched by her; she shall given them something very special in gifts/lessons too. Many gifts/lessons of forgiveness and trust and respect she shall pass along. Gifts/lessons of bravery and dignity and kindness she shall also pass along yet; she possesses an aura and she is going to give each person something extra special. For me, it was a continuation of what BHRR's Snowball began to teach me many years ago; to stop and smell the roses and it goes from there.

For all my friends and family that have wanted to have that cup of tea, lunch, dinner, just get together for a few hours; and my schedule has been slammed(it always is as it also is for many of them!), BHRR's Concert has taught me that there is no better time than now! No one knows what tomorrow may bring and how much we all may have left and so, BHRR's Concert, THANK you for that….thank you for helping me to re-balance my life and to take enjoyment even more from dear friends and family!!!

What a lovely time she had, truly and I am just so grateful for the hours that the Bird's nest gave to her for in that time, what they really gave to BHRR's Concert is another glimpse into a world that can be so wonderful. Your home gave her memories of kindness and gentle touches of true caring.

THANK you for helping me to fulfill my wish for BHRR's Concert!

Here are some photos of last night!

August 29th, 2012

BHRR's August 29th, 2012 – unfortunately, it is much larger than it was. 🙁 It is growing at an alarming rate….

UPDATE: the news for BHRR's Concert is a devastating, heart sinking and crushing.Per Dr. Crews, there are at least 6 nodules of tumours that have metastasized to her lungs. She shall have palliative care for as long as we can keep her comfortable and will remain on pain meds. Her time is very short with us I am so saddened to say and I am going to make every experience for her over this next short while; one full of quality and heart and kindness.

Though, I may have not known her long; for those that have met her; all can attest to just how much of an impact she makes on your heart and soul.
I have had detailed conversations full of tears with KAH, Sean and Gloria and when it is her time to cross over; Gloria( her rescue angel) is going to come with me and we shall both hold her close and whisper in her ears just how much she really was loved and that our tears are a reflection of that love.
I want to thank each and everyone for their emails, calls, notes and posted words of best wishes plus thoughts for BHRR's Concert.
At this time, for those asking what can they do for her; she would love:
1) canned food – salmon, whitefish, tuna etc.
2) dog beds and duvets/comforters
3) very large socks for her foot
4) your continued blessings and well wishes
5) if anyone is open to having her & I just come and visit for a brief time to allow her the added knowledge of more loving experiences from others, please let me know contactbhrr@gmail.com Though her time is very limited; and I cannot take away the past of her previous humans leaving her medically untreated, suffering and then dumping her on the road like trash; what I can give her is time with others that equally care for her and want to show her that she is priceless and deserving of great things!
6) donations to her Vet bills remain so gratefully received yet; at, this time; I would rather her receive items of direct personal comfort to her for her to enjoy. I can personally pay off her remaining bills in time THANKS to each of you that so very generously donated to date. I remain humbly indebted by all of your support!! Immensely!! Please know that!!
For me, I am upset and angry that she could have had years if she had just been treated earlier…..These are the days in rescue that really hurt.
I am so very sorry dear sweet BHRR's Concert. 🙁
I am going to go hug her again….

*Two Vets have now reviewed her x-rays and it is initially believed that these spots are the beginning of tumours from the Cancer having metastasized.

We are awaiting Dr. Crews and Dr. Liston's opinions and her bw came back back with increased Globulin levels which is consistent with Cancer.

***Please keep those positive vibes coming! She is one of the nicest, sweetest and loveliest Great Danes I have ever had the absolute pleasure of meeting.

**She continues to eat and drink well and is sleeping so deep since her arrival to BHRR.

How unfortunate that her past owners did not surrender her to a r/q Rescue or bring her to a pound when all of this first started. Instead they dumped her on the road after many months of her suffering and she was picked up as a stray. 🙁

Poor dear girl…..

BHRR's Concert – ~ 3 years of age – female Merle GD

Special Needs – Huge growth on her right front foot

Thanks to Catahoula Rescue-Ontario for contacting us for assistance on August 23rd, 2012. We mobilized really fast and she is coming to BHRR tomorrow-August 25th, 2012 – her stay at the shelter is up tomorrow. Thanks to A. Gray-Henschel for the assistance in transporting!

She already has a Vet appointment at Kanata Animal Hospital scheduled for 2:10 PM tomorrow(August 25th) and we shall update as we can re: her wishlist of needs. We shall be doing an exam, bw, biopsy and x-rays as part of her Vet visit tomorrow.

She is scheduled for surgery on Tuesday August 28th and in discussing her case with the Vet, a toe amputation is very possible.

Thank you everyone in advance for you consideration in stepping up to be a 'CONCERT ANGEL' for her!

She already has an account set-up at Kanata Animal Hospital.

AND I called her 'Concert' as the rescue of this beauty was like the orchestration of a beautiful concert. Very beautiful and smooth as to how it all unfolded plus fell into place. Additionally, it was the 'concert' effort of r/q people/groups that came together to make this happen for her. SOOOOOOOOOO, I felt it a most fitting name!
