This does not even take into consideration the many thousands of dollars it is going to take to vet them to prepare for their special announcements.
These wee Labx beans, found nursing on their mom that was laying dead under a tractor, two with punctures, are now safe with us. I know that if they could they would also say THANK you to everyone for this lifesaving assistance.
This is Mr. Warrior Bean. He is the only male out of the six puppies(5 survived).
He was the third sickest, and he and Miss Fighter Bean are giving it their all! AS am I!
He is a quiet, sweet soul at this time. He is not 100% so, his real personality is not yet completely shining through. He gets frustrated easily as it is hard for him to breathe when attempting to feed as he is still fighting the big battle with aspiration pneumonia.
He wants badly to eat, which is an excellent sign, and many opportunities are given for him to latch on. When he can latch, he has an excellent feed. He also has the ‘manly’ burp!
He is also one of the two puppies with punctures. He had a deep terrible, now granulating one on his back leg. We will be monitoring for any long-term effects.
He may be wee, yet, his inner strength is immense.
Tomorrow, I plan on weighing them. Their weights as of Thursday, August 4th in emergency:
Puppy 1 – 0.38 kgs – deceased as of 8:49 AM Thursday, August 4th
Puppy 2 – 0.38 kgs as well
Puppy 3 – 0.48 kgs
Puppy 4 – 0.46 kgs
Puppy 5 – 0.56 kgs
Puppy 6 – 0.64 kgs
Right now, the puppies look like wee bear cubs!
We will be doing our popular Name Game Fundraiser to try and raise much-needed funds for vetting – five pups to vaccinate, boosters x 2, exams, four spays, one neuter, flea/tick/hw meds, bloodwork, further investigating Miss Fighter Beans hind end, etc., not to mention food, formula, pee pads, Pinesol, toys, treats, dog beds, laundry detergent, liquid fabric softener and so on.
Puppies are wee, their needs are enormous!
AND ignore the PJs! It is what it is! That I get to shower daily and have a pee is enormous. A hot meal is rare, yet I would gladly forego many a meal, sleep, or getting dressed in ‘real’ clothes if it means that these five beans go on to have great well, deserving futures!
Mr. Warrior Bean is waving goodnight to all of their fans plus supporters! His signature move.
