BHRR Approved Foster Homes —- Our wonderful approved foster homes are within a 2 hour driving distance of BHRR! Emerge Temp Fosters can be further away as we work to organize their transport to BHRR.
Please consider being a ‘Virtual’ Foster of one of our animals in need. You can sponsor an animal of your choice and we will post your name plus any personal comments made.
BHRR Approved Volunteers Also —- Assist with driving to and from appointments, helping at appointments or photo sessions and/or community education/public awareness events, rescue pick up and/or transport, emergency overnight or a few hours of emergency temp fostering, pulling animals, community educational/awareness opportunities, fundraising, Fundraising events, play dates, day trips, play trips, printing, putting up posters, cross-posting, media contacting, donation pick ups, food donation campaigning, attending BHRR ‘EXPERIENCE’ Mini Open Houses to talk to those that come to learn more about BHRR and our programs and to those that might be seeking to be Volunteers themselves or Adopters etc.
BHRR does not expect any of our approved Volunteers to have to commit to X amount of hours per week. We are just so deeply grateful to our Volunteers that support what we do at BHRR in any number of means that enable us to continue assisting animals in need!
All homes that become approved Adopters are also approved Volunteers and can assist with any posted Volunteer Opportunities should their circumstances allow for it!
We post our BHRR approved Volunteer opportunities and requests for assistance on our BHRR FACEBOOK PAGE – We are 7,551 members strong as of December 2020.

*****NOTE: ALL of our Approved Adoptive homes do automatically become approved Volunteers. They can then Volunteer in a capacity that their local by-laws and interest allow them.
