BHRR’s Dean! We were at the Vet this afternoon for his boosters and a recheck on his tail.

He is no longer emaciated which is awesome! HIs Vet was extremely happy with his body condition. AS are we! Do not have a weight captured for today as there was an extremely reactive Rottie that arrived at the same time and it was best to just do what we really needed to do and leave.

He is being placed on another 3 weeks of antibiotics for his tail.

AND he will remain on Gabapentin plus Deramaxx too.

He is still anxious in the car, getting better and still reactive to cars passing by. I now have him reduced to Trazodone twice a day. He has made incredible progress and this a journey for him…..one step at a time. He was so undersocialised prior to his rescue so over-stimulation is a very real thing for him.

He really is a nice boy…with us he now wags his tail, he bounces in excitement and makes the best sounds when I come home from work. He has three BFF’s in doggie buds also – BHRR’s Fred and my two Wolfies – Torin plus Brogan.

He is scheduled for his neuter in March – earliest opening at the Vet – and as we need to work further on his comfort zone around strangers plus being handled and also healing his tail; this gives us a lot more time to get him ready.

From our home to all of our friends, families and supporters, the best of Happy New Year wishes are being sent! We sincerely hope that 2021 is a much better year for all of us……
