I am attaching a small slideshow of BHRR’s Apollo at CWW yesterday with me! AND I am going to add two of those photos below as well. We are also working on a video to post. I wish to send out the biggest of thanks to Alex & Karen for the donation of the LIFT AND ASSIST Harness for BHRR’s Apollo & I also with to thank Suzanne for the donation offer email of one as well that I received after coming home from a work shift at KAH! BHRR’s Apollo is one very lucky boy and I know he knows how much he is loved plus cared for/by so many! I want to also publicly thank Lianne & Jen of Canine Water Wellness once again for the assistance of coming on board as some of BHRR’s Apollo’s Angels and for anyone wishing to donate monies to help us pay for his very beneficial sessions at Canine Water Wellness; you can donate by PayPal(account gwen@birchhaven.org) or email transfer to gwen@birchhaven.org or write a check to ‘Birch Haven Rescue & Rehabilitation Services’ and mail to:

I cannot stress enough that without them coming on board, we would have seriously had to look at removing his leg and there is no price tag in world that can be put on that. I just could not bear to think that we might have to amputate that leg when there was not any medical reason why he would not use that leg and I truly was ‘failing’ him in not being able to ‘broach’ that barrier. AND as I have said over and over; I have possess no big enough of an ego or am so proud that I remain ‘blind’ to that sometimes bringing in ‘new’ resources into your current repetoire and team of current ones can be so beneficial. The newness(based upon Apollo’s habitual refusal to use that leg) of others coming into the picture has really helped me create some new momentum with his leg and every night around 11:30 PM or so, Apollo and I can be seen in our fenced in area, doing hill work, sand work and obstacles! After that, comes massage and cuddling and a snack for BHRR’s Apollo! I know I have said this before, that I am in no position to ask others to continue to give of themselves for sooooooooo many have given BHRR so much yet I am not above begging, pleading and grovelling when it comes to the animals and I would embrace anything that came BHRR’s Apollo’s way to help us pay for these sessions. Look at his face below, isn’t he one of the happiest of boys you ever saw???
