She is extremely talented and more lovely than any words can ever be put down on paper and she has wonderfully surprised me with the very stunning and unique artful creation of an Irish Wolfhound, inspired by our Bunker Dude. She is calling it ‘Art For A Cause’.

The Wolfhound Cù Sìth

10% of sales of her products will come to BHRR!

*You can purchase t-shirts, mugs, mousepads, totes, greeting cards and SO much more! She will be adding products regularly.

The Wolfhound Cù Sìth

He has a vet appointment tomorrow and we shall update ASAP.

We have already requested that his foster home lower his food intake from 12 cups to 8 cups daily, split over small frequent meals.

He is not AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION at this time.

Thank you to everyone that came to support our first driveway event fundraiser of 2026!

We raised $254.50!

It was also such a wonderful bonus seeing Cassy with her lovely girl River and her BHRR adopted boy, Mr. Chester! Still cannot believe he will be five this year!!

Thank from my heart to Leanne for hosting and to Barbara for coming out to help! You both are rescue angels!

This money raised shall go towards BHRR’s Magnus’s vet bills.

Today, was a beautiful day for sunshine, sunscreen and some sunburn!

UPDATE: We are calling the Dane ‘Magnus’

Meaning: “Magnus is a Latin word and given name that literally translates to “great” or “mighty“. It has been used for centuries across different cultures to convey strength, nobility, and leadership.”

His time was up May 26th, and we have been working so hard on getting him to us ASAP. The plan is to get him busted out tomorrow….

He has lost even more weight and his stress plus anxiety level has increased.

This shall be a HARD VIDEO for some to watch from the pound, yet this is the reality for many dogs in high kill pounds.

No dog does well, Danes even less.

He is the next one in need of help of our highly specialised program of BHRR and we have been asked to now assist a brindle Dane that shall be posted shortly.

Any donation consideration to Mr. Magnus’s Vet bills can be made via email transfer or PayPal to contactbhrr@gmail.com

Our first fundraiser of 2026 is this Saturday.

He is going to need to have a very thorough mouth exam and we sincerely hope there is no foreign body. He has been destructive in his kennel due to his high level of stress…

Soon, we are coming for you sweet boy.
