I wish I had better news about Miss Amy.

The thought process for some time was that she may require more surgery – this time to remove the femur bone.

Last night, her orthopedic specialist made the decision that this is what needs to be done to ensure the leg heals properly.

While I knew this was where we most likely would end up due to all of her complications post-amputation, it was still a big blow.

She was surrounded by so much love last night. Barbara M. even drove in to spend time with her and watch over her as I was working.

She saw so many of her fav people and now weighs a bit chubby, 35.5 kgs.

As happy as ever to get love and to visit all of us.

I have requested an estimate so we can begin to try to fundraise more for her. I am still paying off almost $3,000 for her.

I committed to her and we will ensure that she is healed prior to being placed up for adoption.

This picture is of her being a ‘boat baby’.

If people have any items for fundraising or ideas to help raise money for her, please do let us know.

Until her and Miss Sophie’s bills are paid off, I am limited in intake, being a small rescue that focuses strongly on the special needs.

Any donations to her vet bills can be made:
